Lantern Hollow
★★★★☆ 4.2
Lantern Hollow is a mood as much as a game. You wander a hushed village by lamplight, poking at objects and slowly untangling why the fog rolled in. It leans into atmosphere and lets you take your time.
The puzzles are logical rather than obtuse — no pixel-hunting nonsense. When you get stuck, the answer is usually something you already saw and forgot, and there's a gentle hint system if you're truly lost.
We played it in one long sitting because we couldn't stop pulling the next thread. It's short, maybe four hours, but it doesn't overstay its welcome.
What we liked
- Beautiful lamplit atmosphere
- Fair, logical puzzles
- Just the right length
