How to build a party in Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga eases you in and then, around chapter three, suddenly asks you to actually think about your party. Plenty of players hit that wall, so here's what worked for us.

Balance is everything. It's tempting to stack damage dealers, but the fights that broke us were the ones where we had no way to heal or slow the enemy. Keep at least one support character in rotation.

Read the turn order carefully — the game shows it clearly, and half of winning is acting before the enemy does. Rearranging who goes when saved us more fights than raw power.

Don't sleep on the grumpy healer you unlock early. She's easy to bench for someone flashier, but her group heal is a lifesaver in the back half. Give her a chance.
